This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Room Temperature Calculator at roomtemperaturecalculator.com.
The short version
- There are no accounts and no sign-up.
- Location access is optional. If you allow it, it is used only to look up your local outdoor temperature.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Information we handle
Your location
When you open the calculator, it may ask your browser for your location so it can look up the current outdoor temperature. Your browser asks for your permission first, and you can say no. If you allow it, your location as provided by your browser is used to request local weather from a weather data service. We don't store your location on our servers or link it to you. If you decline, or the lookup fails, you can type the outdoor temperature in yourself.
What you enter in the calculator
The choices you make, such as window state, AC or heater settings, fan, and room size, are used in your browser to produce the estimate. We don't collect or store them.
Preferences saved on your device
The calculator may save small preferences, such as your light or dark mode choice, in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosting providers, Vercel processes standard request information, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Fonts
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address and browser details, as with any resource loaded from a third party.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to improve the site, and we keep it for as long as needed to deal with your message.
Cookies
We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. The third-party services listed on this page may process standard request data as described in their own privacy policies.
Analytics and advertising
The site doesn't currently use analytics or advertising services. If we add either in the future, for example an ad network or an analytics tool, we will update this policy before they go live, explain what is collected, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Your choices
- Decline or revoke location permission in your browser's site settings at any time and enter the outdoor temperature manually.
- Clear this site's stored data in your browser to remove saved preferences.
- If data protection laws such as the EU or UK GDPR or California's CCPA apply to you, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold, and to have it corrected or deleted. The main data we could hold is an email you sent us, so contact us and we'll help.
Children
The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
